Applications for the New Jersey Economic Development Authority’s (NJEDA) Next New Jersey Program – AI are now open. The program will drive economic growth, collaboration, and the development of AI infrastructure across the state by providing tax credits to eligible businesses investing in large-scale AI data centers and companies engaging in AI-related activities.
WHAT: The $500 million allocation to the Next New Jersey Program – AI will provide tax credits to eligible businesses to engage in building and fostering New Jersey’s fast-growing AI ecosystem. Businesses must commit to creating at least 100 new eligible full-time jobs and meet a minimum capital investment of $100 million to be eligible for tax credits. Additionally, the program requires that the business enter into a collaborative relationship with a New Jersey-based public or private research university, technology startup, incubator, accelerator, or similar entity.

City of Bridgeton UEZ 2025 Juneteenth Celebration – A Historic Success!
|
This article contributed by Minerva Alvarado, Chamber 1st Vice President
The City of Bridgeton Urban Enterprise Zone (UEZ), in collaboration with KYMO (Keep Young Minds Occupied), Tri City Boxing, and Tri City Hope, proudly hosted its first-ever Juneteenth Celebration — and it was nothing short of amazing!
Thanks to the vibrant spirit of the Bridgeton community, the celebration was filled with unity, pride, culture, and joy. We are deeply grateful to the Urban Enterprise Zone Authority (UEZA) and the NNJ Dept. of Community Affairs (DCA) for their funding and support, which made this event possible.
We extend our sincere thanks to members of the UEZ Board of Trustees: Minerva Alvarado, Vice President of the Bridgeton Chamber of Commerce, Patricia Solari Trustee with CHABA, and Michelle Azpiri, Acting Director, Bridgeton Public Library for their commitment to the UEZ mission.
Special appreciation goes to the City Departments involved with this event: Bridgeton Police, Fire, Public Works, and the KYMO Security team — for ensuring the safety, setup, and smooth execution of the event.
Thank you to the many vendors and community nonprofit partners who participated and truly brought the celebration to life. This included Bridgeton Area Chamber of Commerce.
A true highlight of the day was a surprise visit from Super Bowl Champion, Isaiah Pacheco, whose presence inspired attendees of all ages and reminded us of the power of hometown pride.
