Happy 4th of July!


Today and this weekend, our nation commemorates its founding when it declared it's independence from England. That declaration led to the war for independence, heroically won by people willing to fight for establishing a nation that would go on to become the best and strongest in the world.

 

As we celebrate the 249th year of independence, and head toward the big 250th celebration, let's rededicate ourselves to the ideals set forth in the Declaration of Independence.

 

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.--That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, --That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.

Laurie LaTorre, Tony Stanzione, and The Chamber of Commerce Welcome Intern Gabriela "Gabby" Rodriguez Bello.

Gabby Rodriguez Bello has joined the Bridgeton Area Chamber of Commerce team as an intern for a few months. She comes to us through the intern program of Rowan College of South Jersey, where she attends classes at the Cumberland County Campus.

 

Gabby is majoring in computer science with a career in graphic design in mind. She started on June 30, and is already busy boosting our Chamber's use of and presence on Facebook, expanding the Chamber to other social media platforms, assisting with database management, and promoting Chamber and community events.

 

Our thanks to Iris Mendez of Rowan College of SJ for her assistance. Chamber members may consider participating in the RCSJ intern program. Please read this information provided by Iris Mendez.

 

We are actively seeking paid opportunities and internship placements for Business Studies students at RCSJ Gloucester and Cumberland campuses in the following majors:

-Accounting

-Digital Marketing
-Global Business & Leadership (Business admin) 
-Computer Graphic Arts – Print Design 
-Computer Graphic Arts – Interactive Game Design
 
This program gives employer partners the opportunity to offer paid internships to students in their business field of study. By partnering with us, you'll have access to motivated students eager to contribute to your organization.
